One of the 12 founding families of Moru Kel, the Adis originated in the city of Thela just north of Saffa. Cephus Adi, their patriarch in Moru Kel, was the firstborn son but second child of his parents, and under Saffan law his older sister aceded to his parents’ title. Cephus learned of Jaleb Lango’s plan to re-establish a city on the site of old Skandara, and helped fund the expedition in exchange for a seat on the ruling council.
The Adis have some mining concerns, but have specialized in the latter phases of industry, from smelting and smithing to manufacturing of finished goods: Risen Moon Shields and Hellebore Heavy Tools are key cogs in the family’s business empire.
Currently headed by Sahar Mantoro Adi, the Adi family are generally viewed as capable and ambitious in business, though their youngest son, Arko, has proven a bit of an embarrassment.
