The Marbens are one of Moru Kel’s 12 founding families. Hailing from Esmi, Bellagos Marben was the second son; his father bankrolled his expedition to Moru Kel, leaving the family somewhat strapped for cash and angering his older brother (and future head of the house in Esmi). Though Bellagos eventually repaid the debts, relations between the two houses remain strained to this day.
The Marbens have been financially successful, making most of their money through agriculture: pipeleaf and maize are the foundation of their business, though transport and warehousing are also significant. Their Villa Smoke Shop highlights the fruits of their pipeleaf farms.
The Marbens are currently headed by Sahar Roosh Marben, who is one of Marghoz Lango’s closest allies.
