Taiomi

So, initial framework:

• Taiomi’s dad decides to stay in the city and started working as a guide/ranger for tourists and adventurers (since he’s a very good hunter/tracker).
• He goes back to the village to marry Taiomi’s mom and take her to the city.
• When the mom gets pregnant, she goes back to the village to give birth and raise Taiomi.
• When Taiomi was old enough, she goes back and joins the dad in the city.

I’m sure there’s some form of gambling in Moru Kel. The dad gets hooked on gambling and started owing “bad elements” So he ends up doing “shady” stuff for them to pay off his debts . . . 

But the “shady” sideline is lucrative and they live the good life for a while . . . until it all catches up to them and something bad happens to mom and dad. At least this is the initial plot I’m thinking subject to how you think it can mesh with the overall background . . . 

And during the 0-level period, Taiomi definitely suspects something because her parents seem to be a little too well paid for just being a tour guide. Taiomi’s mom tells her that her dad was lucky to get some really rich clients who like using his “services.”

I like the concept of the Abbey because it’s not really a monastery. I’m trying to shy away from that kind of background because of Tajima.
She definitely learned the Kensei path or foundations there but I plan for her to go a different way as far as character development.

In other words, she won’t be a “goody-two-shoe” like Tajima was lol
