Vel Fateau is a lanky bugbear who works running errands for Harricka and other attendants of the Circle of Spores. He arrived in Moru Kel about a year before the Symposium of Wonders after tragically losing his parents in a land far to the north — Vel himself bears the scars of this on his body, with an eye-patch covering a missing eye. Sister Sulon took him in, giving him a necklace to protect him from those who’d harmed him; after a few months she sent him to work with Harricka.
Vel helped stabilize Steward Carletta after she was attacked at the Symposium, using the lacewort that Harricka had given him.
