The Pearl is one of the most elegant pleasure houses in the city of Moru Kel: Goeyan-style rugs and silk brocades bring a soft, elegant touch to the main parlor, while panels of red shona wood (at least that’s what the ladies call it) depict various acts that might be available in the Pearl for the right price. Each has an evocative name: The Mind Flayer’s Tickle, the Angry Bullette, and the Purple Worm. Madame Sindra owns and operates the place: she is warm and welcoming with patrons who are respectful, but views protecting her employees as crucial to running a successful business.
Several couches and chaise lounges are around the edges of the main parlor, mostly in surprisingly good condition: even in broad daylight there’s some wear but things still look to be in fine condition. Behind the main parlor is a dining area. At night this serves as another public area to entertain the patrons while they are deciding on a selection, while in the mornings the employees gather there for breakfast (or a late dinner for those working the night shift), gossip, and a mug of cheap brambleberry wine or a cup of hot kasha. Kintiro, Moru Kel’s puppet master, is a regular patron of the Pearl who is well-liked by the employees and often welcomed in the breakfast area.
Atop the front building is a public seating area with a firepit and a private hot-tub area that can be rented separately or as part of the luxury suite. The rear building contains various private rooms. A set of stables abuts the front building on the lower level.
Both the front door and the roof of the Pearl generally have armed guards present for the employee’s security.
