Symposium of Wonders

News Bulletin: 525 K.S.

With the disappearance of the Maelstrom, Moru Kel’s economy has strengthened to the point where it is a regional power. Anxious to foster a spirit of camaraderie as well as demonstrate the city’s well-deserved position alongside such powerhouses as Kelcarn, Saffa, Mezzi Island, and Doma, Marghoz Lango has proposed a Symposium of Wonders for all the world to demonstrate their most innovative and exciting ideas.

To that end, the city has been on a path of general improvement: re-grading the Slow Road, putting in a new sporting ground, building the glorious Moon Dome temple and doing major upgrades to the Temple of Fair Weather, polishing the rose stone villas, and renovating the Scars in the process of putting in a wondrous new funicular to facilitate travel around the city.

A number of events are planned for the Symposium:

The Market will be open throughout, with merchants from across the land selling their wares. Artists, street performers, and priests will abound on the landings of the city’s stairwells, so be sure to take the chance to learn about foreign cultures! And the businesses of the Docks, Downtown, and the Slow Road will be open to show off the wonders of Moru Kel itself.

The funicular will be free for all to ride during the Symposium, with tickets awarded randomly (see the funicular stations for entry).

A number of large dormitories have been erected for the event, and the people of the city have hospitably opened their homes to visitors. Contact the Minster of the Symposium for details on attending, including accomodations and camp entries for children.
